Argentum is an investment company established in 2001 by the Norwegian Ministry of Trade and Industry, solely focusing on investments in Nordic private equity funds.

Argentum currently has NOK 10 billion (approximately EUR 1.3 billion) under management, whereof 2/3 on behalf of the Norwegian Government and and 1/3 trough our investment programs.

Argentum manages the Nordic Private Equity Programme, Argentum Investment Partners  on behalf of our partners, which include larger institutional investors as well as other professional investors. 

Argentum is active in the Nordic Private Equity market through primary, secondary and co-investments. Through Argentum Partner Programmes investors get access to three types of investments in the Nordic private equity markets investing alongside Argentum:

• Primary investments in Nordic private equity funds – through the Nordic Private Equity Programme
• Secondary investments within private equity - through Argentum Secondary (established in 2009) 
• Co-investments with Argentum’s partner fund managers – through Nordic Additional Funding Programme (established in 2012)

Argentum has 19 employees and is headquartered in Bergen with offices in Oslo and Stockholm.
