TPACK sold to AppliedMicro
The Danish company TPACK has been acquired by US-based AppliedMicro for an initial amount of USD 32 million. Following the transaction, the existing investors Novi, Slottsbacken and Vaekstfonden exits the company.
TPACK has developed a technology that secures effective data transport and is a leading player in the market for mapping and switching functions to leading telecom and networking equipment suppliers. The acquisiton provides AppliedMicro with expansion opportunities on the growing markets for optical transport networking (OTN) and carrier ethernet.
TPACK was founded in 2001 and has 37 employees. The company will continue to be based in Copenhagen.
Vaekstfonden invested in TPACK in 2002 through the venture capital fund InnFond and through Vaekstkapital.
