Statoil has awarded Aibel AS the modification contract for the oil platforms Snorre A and Snorre B. The contract is valued at approx. NOK 400 million. 

The contract includes tasks related to engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation of major modification work on the Snorre platforms, in connection with the Snorre Export and Robustness.

The contract is of a relatively long duration. Planning will start immediately and offshore work will start in February 2011. In total the project will have a life span of approximately three years and the work will be undertaken during the full operation of the platform.
