Ratos exits Haglöfs

Ratos has agreed to sell all its shares in Haglöfs to the Japanese company Asics for approximately SEK 1 000 million.

Haglöfs is one of the leading outdoor brands in Europe and develops, markets and sells high-quality equipment for an active outdoor life. Haglöfs is represented in 18 countries and has approximately 120 employees.

Ratos has been the owner of 100 percent of Haglöfs since the company acquired Atle in 2001. During this period Haglöfs' sales have increased from SEK 195 million to SEK 590 million in 2009.

The selling price for the shares is approximately SEK 1 000 million and the net exit gain for Ratos will be around SEK 765 million. During the period Ratos has owned Haglöfs the average annual IRR has amounted to approximately 30 percent.
