Investinor invests in Metallkraft
Investinor invests NOK 66 million in Metallkraft AS, located in Kristiansand, Norway.
Investinor takes part in an ongoing share expansion programme in Metallkraft, along with Norwegian and international investors.
By using its patented technology, Metallkraft is able to recycle the fluid (known as slurry) used to cut silicon wafers in solar cell production. By turning their exhausted slurry over to Metallkraft AS for recycling, wafer manufacturers can avoid costs associated with transportation and dumping. In addition, producers can buy recycled silicon carbide and glycol back from Metallkraft at a much lower price than new raw materials
Following this issue, Investinor will hold seven percent of the shares in Metallkraft AS.
