Envirotainer sold to AAC Capital Partners
AAC Capital Partners has, along with mangement, acquired a majority stake in Envirotainer from Industrifonden and a number of private investors. Envirotainer is the world leader in temperature controlled logistics for the pharmaceutical industry.
Swedish-based Envirotainer designs, manufactures and rents specialist air cargo containers for the transportation of temperature sensitive pharmaceuticals.
The company has grown substantially since its inception in 1984 and can now can boast a strong worldwide presence. Rather crucially, the company is the only player to offer single trip container rentals on a global scale, thanks to its substantial fleet of 3000 containers and worldwide service network. In addition, the company covers all the major trade routes for biological pharmaceuticals, with service hubs in 26 countries.
Business sales for 2009 were SEK 330 million.
