Bergen-based company Sway AS will receive funding of NOK 137 million from Enova to demonstrate a new wind turbine prototype.
The funding from Enova will contribute to the construction of a 10 MW wind turbine, the largest of its kind, in Øygarden, Hordaland County. The new technology will be tested on land over the next two years.
In cooperation with the SmartMotor AS, part of Verdane Capital portfolio, Sway has developed the concept, which will result in higher energy generation for offshore wind power, and hence also lower operating costs.
