The Danish Government has provided DKK 150 million for a venture fund focused on the Western region of Denmark. Professional managers can apply for the overall management of the new fund until the 29th of March 2010.

Vaekstfonden will manage the capital provided by the Government, and, as a result, will gain a stake in the new fund.

Private investors are obliged to raise at least the same amount of capital as the Government. In addition, the new fund managers must be based in Western Denmark and focused on commercial investments in early-stage companies.
