CapMan funds acquire Walki Wisa
Funds managed by Finnish asset manager CapMan and forest industry group UPM-Kymmene Corporation have signed an accord transferring the ownership of Walki Wisa Group to the CapMan funds. Walki Wisa is the leading European producer of wrappings and composite materials for industrial application. In 2006 their net sales totalled EUR 287 million.
Walki Wisa is planned to develop through organic growth and acquisitions over the next few years. The company employs approximately 950 people, and has production in Finland, Sweden, Germany, the UK and China.
The transaction has yet to be approved by competition authorities. CapMan funds will hold 100 % of the company, and closing is expected during the second quarter of 2007.
