Byggmax Boards and owners have applied for listing of its shares on the Swedish Stock Exchange and, in doing so, have decided to implement a spread of ownership through the sale of existing shares. Byggmax is part of Altor´s portfolio and Altor is one of the company´s main shareholders.

Byggmax has since its inception in 1993 opened a total of 67 stores in the Nordic region and has further growth ambitions. In 2009,  the Group increased its sales by 16 percent to 2.4 billion and, at the same time, acheived an operating margin of 11 percent.

The offer comprises a total of 25,661,815 shares of Byggmax, representing approximately 42.7 percent of the shares in the company, and an over-allotment option of up to 3,849,272 shares, representing approximately 6.4 percent of the shares in Byggmax. Sale price within the range of 46-57 per share.


The application period is between the 18th of May to the 1st of June, 2010 and the expected first day of trading will be on NASDAQ OMX Stockholm, the second of June, 2010.
