Argentum has become one of the biggest investors in Verdane’s sixth fund, Verdane Fund VI, with an investment of SEK 100 million. The fund closed at SEK 1 billion. Verdane Capital ’s new fund will manage SEK 1 billion and represents a strong commitment to the Norwegian buyout section within the small and medium-sized company segment.  

Verdane Capital, formerly known as Four Seasons Venture, is Norway’s leading private equity firm within the so-called secondary direct ventures, which consist of buying and developing portfolios comprising of investments in unlisted companies. The fund manager is behind successful technology companies such as Odim, Opera Software and Chipcon.

Verdane signed an agreement with SINTEF in September 2006, where Verdane acquired 75 percent of Sinvent Venture AS and SINTEF Venture AS. This portfolio included successful companies such as Nacre and ReVolt Technology.

Verdane Capital is to have Argentum on board as in investor as they are set to increase their commitments in the Nordic region.
