Almi Invest offers Videofy.me venture capital
Almi Invest has invested in online video service company Videofy.me, along with Starcom founder Ulf Sandberg. The new investors aim to extend the firm´s success into new markets.
Videofy.me was founded in 2009 by Robert Mellberg and Oskar Glauser and provides a service that connects bloggers´ videos with advertisers. Bloggers upload their videos free of charge via Videofy.me and may in turn earn a cut of the advertising revenue, which is calculated per view.
Since the commercial starts with the video blog entry, the advertisers reach the “tough to please” blog-audience directly.
Videofy.me has 17 000 registered bloggers with more than 3 million video views per month. In just 15 months Videofy.me has started to cooperate with over 50 advertisers including well-known names such as HP, Vodafone, Sony Pictures, Sony Ericsson Stadium, Halebop, Diesel, and Libresse.
Today Videofy.me generates monthly revenues of around SEK 1 million in the Swedish market. The company has eight employees and has offices in Old Town in Stockholm.
