Argentum is an asset manager specializing in investment in Nordic private equity funds. We are active in both the primary and secondary private equity markets. Argentum emphasizes close co-operation with Nordic and International investors, as well as with leading Nordic private equity managers. Argentum manages several investment programs, including the Nordic Private Equity Programme, Argentum Investment Partners and Argentum Secondary on behalf of our partners, which include large institutional investors.
Argentum has NOK 9 billion under management, is located in Bergen, Oslo and Stockholm, and has a staff of 16.
Responsibilities
The job entails conducting market analyses with regard to the both the primary and secondary private equity markets, as well as Argentum’s fund portfolio.
- Analyses of Nordic fundraising activity
- Analyses of best practice within the Nordic and international private equity market
- Analyses and valuations of investments in the primary and secondary markets
- Evaluations of private equity strategies and private equity teams
- Evaluations of private equity funds’ returns
- Monitoring, selecting and following-up projects
- Contract negotiations
- Communicating with leading Nordic private equity funds
- Other responsibilities related to the investment department
Qualifications
A higher degree (MSc or equivalent) in economics, business or finance, preferably with a major in finance.
A strong academic performance.
0-2 years of relevant experience and candidates with experience from consulting, investment banking or accounting may also apply.
Strong analytical skills.
The right candidates must enjoy working independently, but are also proactive and proven team players. They must be able to develop and maintain professional relationships.
