The Nordic private equity market has experienced considerable development over the past few years. There has been a significant rise in capital under management, increased investment volume and a higher degree of institutionalization among leading fund managers. A great track record, as well as several beneficial socio-economic factors, makes the Nordic region an attractive investment opportunity.
The largest investors in the Nordic region in 2010 are Fund of funds (28 %), Pension funds (21 %) and Capital Markets (17 %).

The largest investors in Norway were Pension funds (21 %), Fund of funds (19 %) and Other asset managers (19 %). Government agencies were also important contributors, with 16 % of the committed capital.
