The Nordic private equity market has experienced considerable development over the past few years. There has been a significant rise in capital under management, increased investment volume and a higher degree of institutionalization among leading fund managers. A great track record, as well as several beneficial socio-economic factors, makes the Nordic region an attractive investment opportunity.
The largest investors in the Nordic region are pension funds (36 %), asset managers (17 %) fund of funds, endowments and foundations (9%) and insurance companies.

The largest investors in Norway were fund of funds (37 %), pension funds (9 %) and family offices (7%). There was also a substantial group of investors that were classified as unknown.
