SCAN Geophysical
SCAN was established in March 2002 as a Norwegian seismic data acquisition company specialized in both marine streamer seismic and ocean bottom cable seismic. The Company is active in the seismic market through acquisition, marketing and sale of seismic data produced by way of seismic equipment onboard vessels. The company is currently operating one 2D and one 3D steamer vessel, and also offers ocean bottom stations for 4C ocean bottom seismic. A program of several new steamer vessels is ongoing comprising one High-End 2D vessel and three new purpose-built 3D vessels with 8 steamers. More than 130 persons are presently working on SCAN’s vessels and the main office is located in Oslo with representative offices in Houston, Moscow and Singapore.
Norvestors entry took place in October 2005. Norvestor and the other investors listed SCAN (SCANG) on Oslo Axess from 31.05.07, and still holds a 19,7% share in the company.
