Cardinal is producing and distributing poultry products and eggs in the Norwegian market. The company was introduced in March 2005 as a result of an acquisition of four operating companies from two separate owners. In February 2006 Cardinal merged with Den Stolte Hane AS, a marketing company supplying poultry and egg products from two contract manufactures. CapMan is the lead investor in Cardinal Foods. Other shareholders in Cardinal are the public food company Synnøve Finden, owners of the initial Cardinal companies and the management. Cardinal has also acquired the companies Jærkylling and Vestfold Fugl.
